While living with his grandmother in Japan, Mark worked at an izakaya in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. There, he first experienced warm and attentive Japanese hospitality. He also learned the importance of using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

After returning to the US, Mark worked in various Japanese restaurants and top hotels to hone his culinary skills before opening Kiyoshi's Katsu House in Henderson, Nevada, with his wife, Beth. The restaurant is a celebration of their roots and love of Japanese food.

Indeed a family restaurant, Mark's mother and father have always been his biggest supporters. His mother taught him the importance of cooking with love and care, and his father instilled a strong work ethic in him.

The story of Kiyoshi's Katsu House is a family story. Mark, Beth, and their children, who grew up in the kitchen, embody the restaurant's spirit, inviting guests to savor the essence of authentic Japanese flavors and hospitality.
